Product Information

Full details

The Korum Pentalite Quick Brolly 2.2m is designed for anglers who prioritize mobility and quick setup during day sessions or short overnight trips. Its standout feature is the unique five-spoke graphite frame that eliminates the need for a central pole, significantly increasing usable internal headroom. While it offers excellent stability and rapid deployment, users should note that as a brolly system, it provides a more open-fronted profile compared to full-enclosed bivvies, making it best suited for fair-to-moderate weather conditions.

FAQs

Does the Korum Pentalite include a groundsheet?

The standard Pentalite package focuses on the brolly system, storm poles, and pegs; a groundsheet is typically not included.

Can I add a front panel to this brolly?

The design is meant to be a versatile open-fronted shelter, but please check for compatible Korum accessories if you require full coverage.

How much does the brolly weigh?

Thanks to the graphite frame, the Pentalite is categorized as a lightweight system, making it ideal for the mobile angler.

What is the benefit of the tension peak?

The tension peak design prevents water pooling at the front and maintains structural tension even when you adjust the shelter height.

Is the material waterproof?

Yes, it is constructed from durable polyester designed to withstand typical fishing weather conditions.

Troubleshooting

Hub is difficult to lock into position

Ensure the brolly spokes are fully extended and not tangled in the cover fabric before pushing the hub upward.

Brolly feels unstable in high winds

Adjust the angle of your storm poles and utilize the side pegging points to lower the brolly profile closer to the ground.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely fast setup and pack-down time
Generous headroom due to the central pole-free design
Lightweight construction perfect for mobile anglers
Flexible height settings via multiple pegging points
Stable in moderate winds thanks to the tension peak system

Cons

Open-front design offers less weather protection than a full bivvy
Requires additional accessories for total front closure
Best suited for shorter sessions rather than long-term camping

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup Instructions:

Lay the brolly flat on the ground and unfold the five graphite spokes.
Push the internal hub upward until it clicks into the locked position.
Attach the two provided quick-release storm poles to the front sides to tension the cover.
Secure the brolly to the ground using the primary pegging points, then fine-tune the height using the secondary side pegging points.

Care Instructions:

Always allow the shelter to dry completely before storing in its bag to prevent mildew.
Wipe down the graphite frame with a damp cloth after use in muddy conditions.
Ensure the quick-release clips are free of debris to maintain smooth operation.
Store in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight when not in use for extended periods.
