Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Bluespot Lump Hammer is ready for use straight out of the box. Ensure the head is securely fitted to the handle before initial use; a firm grip should be evident.
Compatibility: This tool is designed for general striking and demolition purposes. It is compatible with various heavy-duty tasks including demolition, masonry work, metalworking, and driving posts. It is not designed for fine woodworking or tasks requiring delicate precision.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the head clean of any debris or dust. Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the hickory shaft. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store the hammer in a dry environment to prevent the hickory shaft from drying out or becoming waterlogged. A tool bag or rack is recommended.
- Inspection: Periodically check the connection between the head and the handle for any signs of looseness. If loose, do not use the hammer and seek professional advice on re-securing it.
