Throttle Body - CI

This throttle body is compatible with DACIA LOGAN (LS_) 1.2 16V models from February 2006 onwards, and cross-references with several RENAULT OEM part numbers like 161202859R.

Symptoms can include a rough or unstable idle, poor acceleration, engine hesitation, stalling, increased fuel consumption, and the illumination of the Check Engine Light.

Typically, throttle bodies are sold separately from gaskets. It is recommended to purchase a new gasket for a proper seal during installation.

Diagnosis by a qualified mechanic is recommended. However, persistent idling issues, poor engine response, or specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to the throttle position sensor or control circuit often indicate a need for replacement.

While an experienced DIYer may be able to install it, professional installation is recommended to ensure correct fitting, proper connection, and completion of any necessary electronic relearn procedures.

This is a process where the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU) learns the new throttle body's parameters to ensure a stable idle speed. It often requires a diagnostic scan tool.

While minor cleaning of the exterior may be possible, it's generally advised not to spray cleaning agents directly into the throttle bore, as this can damage sensitive electronic components. It's best replaced if faulty.

Ensure all electrical connectors are securely attached. Perform the idle relearn procedure specific to your vehicle. If the issue persists, the throttle body may be faulty or there might be another underlying engine issue.

Verify the throttle body is properly seated and sealed. Check for vacuum leaks around the installation area. Confirm the idle relearn procedure has been completed successfully.

Double-check all connections and ensure no obstructions are present in the intake tract before the throttle body. Verify that the vehicle's ECU is communicating correctly with the new sensor.
