The Blackmagic Hyper Deck Studio 4K Pro is a professional broadcast deck that records high-quality video files directly onto SD and SSDs. It features full 12G-SDI with a loop 12G-SDI output, upgraded processing for Ultra HD work, and dual 12G-SDI outputs supporting ProRes 4444 for true Ultra HD fill and key. HDMI connections and file formats like ProRes and DNx seamlessly switch between SD, HD, and Ultra HD standards. While H.264 is available for SD and HD, it switches to H.265 for Ultra HD recording. The device boasts upgraded 10G Ethernet for exceptional speed and includes 2 redundant AC power supplies. It is ideal for recording broadcast masters in H.264, ProRes, and DNx formats, with support for PCM or AAC audio, and H.265 for Ultra HD files. It is suitable for sending shows to broadcasters and uploading to YouTube. The HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro facilitates ISO recording with timecode and reference generators, allowing for multi-cam editing after live events when using multiple HyperDeck Studios. For digital signage, it offers an HDMI output for large screens and projectors, and a built-in sync generator for multi-screen video walls. FTP support and a remote control protocol are also included. It's perfect for archiving old television shows from broadcast decks, supporting all SD and HD standards, and can record directly to H.264 for maximum storage. A machined metal search dial provides fast clip access with shuttle, jog, and scroll functionality. Front panel buttons are mirrored to the rear RS-422 remote output for daisy-chaining control. It also includes a front panel speaker and headphone socket for live audio monitoring. Dual media slots allow for non-stop recording, with automatic continuation to the next card when one is full, enabling hot-swapping of media. Each slot has a status indicator. The 4K model supports H.265 with tight compression ratios for small, broadcast-quality files, and offers uncompressed PCM audio or AAC audio for YouTube uploads. It supports ExFAT and HFS+ disk formats and long-duration single file recordings. With built-in 10G Ethernet, file transfers are faster than SD card or SSD media disks.
