The McAlpine ABS42/43A-CB is a 90-degree compression bend constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant chrome-plated brass. This fitting is engineered to create secure, leak-proof connections between pipes without soldering or welding, ideal for ABS solvent weld systems. ABS, a thermoplastic polymer, is commonly used in drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. The bend is designed to join ABS solvent weld pipes, allowing for a change in pipe direction. A compression nut tightens onto the pipe, ensuring a tight seal. The fitting is suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature environments, making it versatile for both residential and commercial plumbing. It is available in 1¼" and 1½" sizes, with the 1¼" version including two rubber washers to accommodate 32mm European or 35mm UK chrome brass pipes.
