Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These nails are designed for manual hammering. Ensure you are using a suitable hammer and a stable work surface. For harder woods, pre-drilling pilot holes slightly smaller than the shank diameter can prevent splitting and ease driving.
Compatibility: Suitable for use with most common timber species in indoor, dry environments (Service Class 1). They conform to Eurocode 5 (EN 14592:2008), making them appropriate for construction projects following these guidelines.
Care: As bright nails have no protective coating, they require specific care:
- Storage: Store in a dry, climate-controlled environment. Avoid damp sheds, garages, or open containers. Keep the packaging sealed to minimize moisture exposure.
- Handling: Handle with care to avoid scratching the surface, though this is less critical given their typical application.
- Environment: Only use in interior applications defined as Service Class 1 (low humidity, typical indoor conditions). Avoid any exposure to moisture, high humidity, or exterior elements.
