Hemline Bias Binding Tape - Black

Measure the edge you intend to bind and add a few extra inches for overlap and ease of handling. Bias binding is usually applied with a 1/4 inch seam allowance on each side.

Straight grain binding is cut parallel to the fabric's selvage and is stiffer, best for straight edges. Bias binding is cut diagonally across the fabric's grain, making it flexible and ideal for curves.

Fold the binding around the raw edge and hand-stitch it in place using a blind stitch for an invisible finish, or a catch stitch for a more secure hold.
