Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup (Application)
Setting up your manicure with Chanel Le Vernis involves a few key steps for optimal results:
- Nail Preparation: Ensure nails are clean, dry, and free of any old polish. Moisturize cuticles with L’HUILE CAMÉLIA and gently push them back.
- Base Layer: Apply one thin coat of a protective base coat, such as LA BASE CAMÉLIA.
- Color Application: Apply two thin, even coats of LE VERNIS, allowing each coat to dry slightly before the next.
- Top Layer: Finish with a clear top coat, like LE GEL COAT, to seal the color and enhance shine and wear.
Compatibility
Chanel Le Vernis is designed to work harmoniously with CHANEL's full range of nail care products, including:
- L’HUILE CAMÉLIA (cuticle oil)
- LA BASE CAMÉLIA (protective base coat)
- LE GEL COAT (high-shine top coat)
Using these complementary products is recommended for the best performance and a salon-quality manicure experience.
Care
Proper care for your LE VERNIS bottle will help maintain its quality:
- Storage: Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Sealing: Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to prevent the polish from drying out or thickening.
- Shelf Life: While nail polish generally has a long shelf life, its consistency and application quality may degrade over time. If the polish becomes too thick, a few drops of a dedicated nail polish thinner (not acetone) can sometimes revive it.
