The Knipex 95 12 200 SB Cable Shears are designed for cutting copper and aluminum cables, but are not suitable for steel wire and hard drawn copper conductors. They feature precision-ground, hardened blades that provide a clean and smooth cut without crushing or deformation. With a special design that divides cutting actions into an initial cut of the insulating sheath and a final cut of the conductor, cables up to a diameter of 20 mm can be cut with one hand. Low hand force is required due to a favorable lever ratio and special blade geometry. A pinch guard prevents operators' fingers from being pinched. The bolted joint is adjustable and self-retaining. Cutting capacity for copper cable, multiple-stranded, is 70 mm² or Ø 20 mm (2/0 AWG).
