Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: These strips are exclusively designed for Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) materials. Always verify the plastic type of the component you are repairing before use. Attempting to use these strips on non-TPO plastics will result in poor adhesion and an ineffective repair.
Setup: Proper preparation is key for a successful repair. Clean the damaged area thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, and debris. Lightly scuff the surface around the crack or break to promote adhesion. The strips can be cut to the required length and shape using a sharp utility knife or shears. Depending on the repair method, you may need plastic welding equipment or a compatible plastic adhesive.
Care: Once the repair is complete and fully cured, the repaired area can be treated like the original plastic. It can be sanded, primed, and painted to match the surrounding area. Avoid exposing the newly repaired area to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures until the adhesive or weld has fully set.
