The Sealey AK7990 13-piece socket set is an essential tool kit for automotive technicians and DIY enthusiasts who require reliable, metric precision for delicate mechanical tasks. These are hand-tool sockets. Using them with high-torque impact drivers may damage the steel and voids the warranty.
They are manufactured from high-grade, hardened and tempered Chrome Vanadium steel.
Yes, the set comes supplied on a metal socket rail for organized storage.
Yes, the Sealey AK7990 comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.
Apply a small amount of penetrating oil to the rail spring and wiggle the socket to release the ball-detent mechanism.
Verify that you are using the correct metric size and ensure the fastener head is free of debris or rust buildup.
To begin using the set, simply slide the desired socket off the included rail by applying slight outward pressure. This set is compatible with any standard 1/4" drive ratchet or torque wrench.
To maintain the tool, wipe the sockets down with a clean, dry cloth after every use to remove chemicals and debris. Periodically apply a light coating of machine oil to the surface to preserve the black chrome finish and prevent surface oxidation in humid environments. Avoid using these sockets with pneumatic impact guns, as the high-impact force can lead to structural fatigue.
