Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect the power adapter to the record player and plug it into a power outlet.
- Place a record on the platter.
- Select the correct speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector.
- Carefully lift the tonearm and position it over the record.
- Lower the tonearm onto the record to begin playback.
Compatibility:
The VPL-230 is compatible with 33, 45, and 78 RPM records. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity with smartphones, tablets, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. It features USB and SD card slots for digital file storage. External speakers can be connected via the phono output.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the dust cover and the exterior of the unit. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Stylus Maintenance: Gently clean the stylus with a stylus brush to remove dust and debris after each use. Replace the stylus periodically (every 500-1000 hours of play) for optimal sound quality.
- Storage: When not in use, keep the dust cover closed to protect the turntable from dust and damage.
