Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
To use the Rohm Chuck Keys - S18, insert the appropriate end of the key into one of the chuck's keyholes. Apply firm, steady pressure to rotate the chuck mechanism. Turn clockwise to tighten and secure the tool, and counter-clockwise to loosen and remove it. Ensure the key is fully engaged in the keyhole before applying force to prevent stripping or damage.
Compatibility:
This S18 model is specifically designed for certain chuck sizes. Always verify that the Rohm Chuck Keys - S18 is compatible with your specific drill chuck. Refer to your drill or chuck manufacturer's specifications to confirm compatibility. Other Rohm chuck key models (e.g., S3, S9) are available for different chuck sizes.
Care:
Clean the chuck key after each use with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For stubborn grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Store the chuck key in a dry place to prevent corrosion, especially on the nickel-plated T-handle. Avoid exposing the key to harsh chemicals or excessive moisture. Periodic inspection for wear or damage is recommended.
