Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup (Shade Matching)
Given the extensive range of 78 shades, selecting the correct NC60 can be crucial.
- Test in Natural Light: Apply a small amount to your jawline and allow it to set. Check the match in natural daylight.
- Understand NC/NW: M.A.C's NC (Neutral Cool) shades are for golden/warm undertones, while NW (Neutral Warm) shades are for pink/cool undertones. NC60 indicates a deep shade with golden/warm undertones.
Compatibility
- Skin Types: Best suited for oily, combination, and normal skin types due to its oil-controlling properties and matte finish. Those with very dry skin should ensure thorough hydration and priming before use to prevent emphasis on dry patches.
- Makeup: Compatible with most liquid or cream primers and concealers. Can be used over liquid foundation for added coverage or setting.
Product Care
- Refillable Packaging: When your powder runs out, carefully remove the empty pan and insert a new refill. This reduces waste and is generally more cost-effective.
- Storage: Keep the compact closed tightly when not in use to prevent product degradation and maintain hygiene. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Applicator Care: Regularly clean the sponge applicator with mild soap and water, then air dry completely. Dirty applicators can harbor bacteria and affect product application.
