What size mattress does the Double bed frame take?

The Double (4ft6) bed frame takes a UK standard Double mattress measuring 135 x 190 cm.

Is a mattress included with the bed frame?

No, the mattress is not included with the bed frame. You will need to purchase a mattress separately that matches the size of your chosen bed frame.

How is the storage accessed?

The storage is accessed via a gas-lift mechanism. Simply lift the mattress platform, and the gas struts will assist in holding it open, revealing the storage space underneath.

What is the warranty period for this bed frame?

This bed frame comes with a 1-year guarantee.

What material is the bed frame upholstered in?

The bed frame is upholstered in grey faux leather.

How tall is the headboard?

Can I use any type of mattress with this bed?

The bed is designed for standard UK mattresses and features a sprung slatted base for good support. However, extremely heavy mattresses may affect the gas-lift mechanism's performance.

Troubleshooting

Ottoman storage lid is difficult to lift or close

Ensure the mattress is positioned correctly and is not too heavy. Check for any obstructions under the base or around the gas struts. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Bed frame feels unstable or makes noise

Verify that all screws and bolts are tightened securely. Ensure the middle support legs are properly installed and making contact with the floor. Check the alignment of the slats.

Difficulty aligning parts during assembly

Refer carefully to the instruction manual and diagrams. Ensure you are using the correct fittings for each step. Do not force parts together; re-check alignment.

Gas lift mechanism not holding the lid open

This can sometimes occur with very light mattresses. Ensure the mattress is correctly seated. If the problem persists, it may indicate an issue with the gas struts; contact customer support.
