They are optically checked for resolution, light transmission and Strehl Ratio for optical image formation. Their resilience to harsh temperatures, both hot and cold, is tested operationally from -15°C to +55°C and in storage conditions from -40°C to +70°C. Waterproofing to IPX7 and fog proofing are also rigorously tested.
