Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Assembly: Ensure all components are securely attached according to the user manual. This typically involves connecting the hose, spray gun, and paint cup.
- Paint Preparation: Measure your paint's viscosity using the supplied viscosity cup. Fill the cup and time how long it takes for the liquid to run out. Compare this to the paint manufacturer's recommendation or the sprayer's guidelines (up to 120 Din-s). Thin the paint if necessary until the correct viscosity is achieved.
- Fill Paint Cup: Carefully pour the prepared paint into the 1300ml paint cup and securely reattach it to the spray gun.
- Connect Power: Plug the 2m power cable into a suitable outlet. Ensure the 1.8m hose is securely connected between the motor unit and the spray gun.
- Test Spray: Before painting your project, always perform a test spray on a piece of scrap material to adjust pressure and spray pattern as needed.
Compatibility
- Paint Types: Compatible with both water-based paints and thicker oil-based paints.
- Viscosity: Works with paints up to 120 Din-s viscosity. Always check the paint manufacturer's specifications and test with the included viscosity cup.
- Surfaces: Suitable for various indoor and outdoor surfaces, including furniture, walls, fences, and sheds.
Care & Maintenance
Proper cleaning is essential for the longevity and performance of your paint sprayer.
- Immediate Cleaning: As soon as you finish painting, empty any remaining paint from the cup.
- Flush System: Fill the paint cup with an appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, mineral spirits/paint thinner for oil-based paints). Spray the solution through the gun until it runs clear.
- Detailed Cleaning: Use the included pipe cleaner brush and pipe cleaner pin to thoroughly clean the nozzle, spray tip, and other accessible parts of the spray gun and hose to remove any paint residue.
- Nozzle Maintenance: Inspect the nozzle and O-ring. Replace the O-ring with the spare provided if it shows signs of wear or damage.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are dry before storing the sprayer in a clean, dry place, protected from dust and extreme temperatures.
