FAQs
Is the Ariat Lunaveil suitable for winter riding?
Yes, it is designed for all-season use, though in extreme winter temperatures, it should be used as a base layer under warmer jackets or gilets.
Does this provide UV protection?
Yes, it is constructed with Sun Protection Fabric to provide extra coverage against UV rays during outdoor activities.
How should I size this baselayer?
The fit is described as body-skimming. If you prefer a more relaxed fit rather than a performance-ready silhouette, you may want to consider sizing up.
Can I put this in the tumble dryer?
While air drying is preferred to prolong the life of the garment, you should use only low heat if machine drying is absolutely necessary.
Is this product sustainable?
The garment is made from recycled materials and meets bluesign standards, ensuring it is manufactured with a focus on environmental safety.
Troubleshooting
Fabric feels damp after high exertion
Ensure the baselayer is the first item worn against the skin; layering non-wicking materials underneath will trap moisture.
Garment losing elasticity
Check that fabric softener was not used in the laundry cycle, as softeners degrade the synthetic fibers responsible for stretch.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Ariat Lunaveil Baselayer, proper maintenance is essential.
Care Instructions
- Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water to preserve the elasticity of the knit fabric.
- Detergents: Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these can compromise the Moisture Movement Technology and wicking capabilities.
- Drying: Air drying is recommended to maintain the fabric structure; if using a machine, use a low-heat setting.
Compatibility
- This garment is designed to pair perfectly with Ariat gilets, technical jackets, and competition shirts. Because of its moisture-wicking properties, it is best worn as the layer closest to the skin to maximize performance.
