Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Dremel SpeedClic Diamond Cutting Wheel is straightforward thanks to the Dremel EZ Lock system:
- Ensure Tool is Unplugged: Always disconnect your Dremel rotary tool from power before changing accessories.
- Attach SC402 Mandrel: If not already installed, insert the SC402 EZ Lock Mandrel into your Dremel tool's collet and tighten securely.
- Attach Cutting Wheel: With the SC402 Mandrel ready, PULL back the spring-loaded sleeve on the mandrel, TWIST the cutting wheel onto the mandrel pin until it clicks into place, then RELEASE the sleeve. Give it a gentle tug to ensure it's locked.
Compatibility
- Mandrel: This diamond cutting wheel *requires* the Dremel SC402 EZ Lock Mandrel for proper attachment and safe operation.
- Materials: Compatible with hard, abrasive materials such as marble, concrete, brick, and ceramic tile.
- Dremel Tools: Compatible with most Dremel rotary tools that accept standard Dremel accessory shanks.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, gently wipe the disc with a dry cloth to remove any loose debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store the cutting wheel in its original packaging or a protective case in a dry place to prevent damage.
- Inspection: Before each use, inspect the disc for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Discard and replace any compromised discs to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Prevent Overheating: The breathing holes help, but avoid prolonged, continuous cutting without breaks, especially on very dense materials, to prevent overheating and extend disc life.
