The FLIR IRW Stainless Steel Infrared Window is designed for safe thermographic inspections of electrical control cabinets. It shields personnel from dangerous arc flashovers by eliminating the need to open cabinets during operation. The window features a simple PI RMA-Lock™ screw ring for easy installation, requiring only one hole and automatic grounding of metal components. It has a hinged lid for quick access and is made with a broadband crystal-infrared window in a rugged, anodized aluminum frame for indoor and outdoor use. This allows inspections with daylight images and fusion functions, and is permeable to laser pointers and lighting. It significantly reduces inspection time and improves efficiency, requiring fewer personnel and less protective equipment. The product meets UL, CSA, IEC, and IEEE specifications and directives, and has been tested by institutions like UL, KEMA, and TUeV for resistance to arc flashovers, vibrations, and extreme humidity.
