Troubleshooting

Window is difficult to lock or feels stiff

Check the compression settings on the eccentric cams. If the seal is too tight, adjust the cams to reduce pressure.

Drafts present around the window sash

Increase the compression by rotating the eccentric cams to create a tighter seal against the weather gasket.

Locking points are not aligning with the striker

Check that the window sash is properly plumb and the striker plates are positioned correctly to accept the 7.7mm mushroom cams.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-security locking action with dual mushroom cams
Durable, corrosion-resistant finish
Easy adjustment for seasonal weathersealing
Compatible with common Eurogroove standards
Reliable, long-term manufacturing quality

Cons

Requires precise 22mm backset measurement
Specific 400mm sizing limits use to compatible sash sizes
Requires professional installation for optimal security

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the Bs22 model requires the window to be prepared with a 22mm backset. Ensure the Eurogroove in your window profile is compatible with the one-piece rail design (standard 12mm or shallow). When installing, verify that the strikers are aligned correctly with the cams to prevent friction during operation. Maintenance is minimal due to the Silverlook-Evo finish; however, it is recommended to apply a light silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts annually to ensure smooth operation and to wipe the rail down with a damp cloth to remove any debris or salt buildup.
