Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Compatibility Check: Before installation, verify that part number 0242240620 is listed as a compatible replacement for your specific vehicle's make, model, and year. Cross-reference with OEM part numbers such as Bosch HR6DPP33V, Motorcraft AGSF22YPC, Volvo 31216297, or Mazda L3Y418110, L81318110, LFJD18110B.
Installation:
- Ensure the engine is cool.
- Carefully remove the ignition coil or spark plug wire from the old spark plug.
- Use a spark plug socket (16mm spanner size) to unscrew and remove the old spark plug.
- Inspect the new spark plug for any damage. Ensure the 1.3 mm electrode gap is correct.
- Thread the new spark plug in by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten the spark plug to the specified 15 Nm.
- Reattach the ignition coil or spark plug wire securely.
Care: Spark plugs are generally considered maintenance-free components designed for long service life. Regular engine maintenance, including air filter checks and ensuring clean fuel, will indirectly support optimal spark plug performance. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents on the spark plug electrodes.
