FAQs
What is a platform-top construction?
A platform-top construction means the bed base has a solid, flat surface (often made of wooden slats close together or a solid board) that supports the mattress directly, rather than a traditional sprung base. This offers a firmer, more even support.
Can I use any type of mattress with this bed?
Yes, the platform-top base is compatible with all mattress types, including foam, memory foam, hybrid, and traditional spring mattresses.
How do I choose the right storage configuration?
Storage options depend on the size. Small Single and Single beds typically offer no drawers or two drawers. Small Double, Double, King, and Super King sizes offer no drawers, two drawers, or four drawers. Consider your storage needs when selecting the size.
What are the dimensions of the headboard?
The headboard is 54 inches in height and stands floor-to-floor. The width will correspond to the bed size selected (e.g., Double, King).
How do I clean the cream fabric?
For general cleaning, use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a low suction setting. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Professional cleaning is recommended for stubborn stains, following specific fabric care guidelines.
Is assembly required?
Yes, some assembly is required. This typically involves attaching the headboard to the base and fitting the gliders. Instructions and fixings are included.
What is included with the bed?
The package includes the platform-top divan base, the 54-inch floor-standing headboard, chrome gliders, clips, and all necessary fixings.
Troubleshooting
Bed squeaks or rattles
Ensure all fixings are securely tightened. Check that the chrome gliders are firmly attached to the base.
Headboard is unstable
Verify that the headboard is correctly attached to the divan base using all provided fixings. Ensure it is flush against the wall if designed to be.
Drawers are difficult to open/close
Check for any obstructions in the drawer runners. Ensure the bed is on a level surface. If the issue persists, inspect the runners for damage.
Mattress feels uneven on the platform
Confirm the platform-top slats or base are correctly seated and not damaged. Ensure the mattress is the correct size for the base.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The bed frame comes with a platform-top divan, a 54-inch floor-standing headboard, chrome gliders, clips, and fixings. Assembly typically involves attaching the headboard to the divan base and fitting the gliders. It is recommended to have two people for assembly, especially when positioning the headboard. Ensure all fixings are tightened securely.
Compatibility: This divan base is designed to support standard UK mattress sizes. The platform-top is suitable for all mattress types, including foam, sprung, and hybrid mattresses, providing a firm and even base.
Care: The cream fabric finish requires regular dusting and vacuuming on a low suction setting. For spills, immediate blotting with a clean, dry cloth is advised. For deeper cleaning, consult the specific care instructions for the chosen fabric (e.g., Plush Velvet, Naples). Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
