This latch set from From the Anvil is designed for single-side access doors, such as airing cupboards and wardrobes. It features a hand-forged design with a decorative knob to operate the latch. The movement of the latch bar is restricted by a staple pin and a screw-on staple pin, with one pin provided to be discarded. The set is supplied with matching fixing screws. The Beeswax finish is the most authentic finish for steel, achieved by dipping forged products into hot beeswax, which preserves their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. This finish offers a subtle matt richness and is a softer alternative to black powder coating, providing excellent internal protection when maintained.
