TIMCO Truss Clips - 47 x 110mm

These clips are made from high-quality carbon steel with a galvanised finish.

They are designed for sheltered and rural environments. For extreme coastal or salt-heavy environments, a stainless steel alternative may be required.

The product has a safe working load of 3.18kN for short-term applications under BS5268 standards.

No special tools are required beyond a standard hammer or a positive placement nailer that accepts 3.75mm fasteners.

There are 12 pre-drilled holes, and it is recommended to use all holes to ensure the full structural rating is achieved.

The clips have a thickness of 1mm, providing a balance of structural strength and ease of installation.

Verify that you are using 3.75mm nails. If the nail diameter is too small, the structural integrity is compromised and should be refitted.

Ensure that nails are not being driven too close to the edge of the timber grain; if necessary, pre-drill pilot holes for the fasteners.

If minor surface rust appears in a sheltered environment, clean the area with a wire brush and apply a zinc-rich galvanizing repair paint.
