Product Information

Full details

The Sloomy Divan Set in Light Brown is designed for those seeking a stable and modern mattress foundation, ideal for guest rooms or occasional use. Its platform-top construction ensures even support and a clean aesthetic, complemented by a 26-inch headboard with vertical stitching. While offering a balanced medium comfort, the primary caveat is its suitability for lighter use due to the open-coil spring system, which may not provide the same deep support as pocket springs for heavier individuals or those with specific back needs. Key features include handcrafted durability, customizable fabric options, and floor-protecting chrome gliders.

FAQs

What is the comfort level of the mattress?

The mattress provides a balanced medium comfort rating, suitable for general use.

How do I care for the mattress?

This is a single-sided mattress, so you should rotate it end-to-end regularly. Do not flip it. Vacuum the surface occasionally and blot spills immediately.

What is the warranty period?

The product comes with a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Are the chrome gliders adjustable?

The chrome gliders are designed to protect floors and aid in movement; they are not typically adjustable for leveling.

Can I use this mattress for heavy daily use?

The mattress is ideal for spare rooms or occasional use. For heavy daily use, especially if you require significant support, consider mattresses with pocket spring systems.

What type of spring system does the mattress use?

The mattress features a durable open-coil spring system.

How deep is the mattress?

The mattress has a depth of 10 inches.

Troubleshooting

Divan base feels unstable

Ensure all connecting parts of the base are securely fastened and the headboard is firmly attached. Check that the chrome gliders are all level and making contact with the floor.

Mattress feels uneven

Rotate the mattress end-to-end. If the issue persists, ensure the divan base is on a level surface and that no weight has been concentrated on one area for extended periods.

Fabric on divan base is dirty

Gently wipe the affected area with a slightly damp, clean cloth. For significant stains, consider professional upholstery cleaning.

Headboard is wobbly

Retighten the screws connecting the headboard to the divan base. Ensure the strutted legs are properly positioned and secured.

Cons

  • Open-coil spring system may offer less targeted support compared to pocket springs.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Unpack all components of the divan base and mattress.
  2. If the base is in sections, connect them according to the provided instructions.
  3. Attach the headboard to the designated points on the divan base using the provided screws and fittings.
  4. Place the mattress onto the divan base, ensuring the non-slip side is facing down.

Compatibility:

  • This set is designed as a complete unit, with the mattress specifically paired with the divan base for optimal support.

  • Suitable for standard UK bed linen sizes.

Care:

  • Divan Base: Clean the fabric with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture. For stubborn marks, consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
  • Mattress: As this is a single-sided mattress, it requires regular rotation (end-to-end) to ensure even wear. Do not flip. Vacuum the mattress surface periodically to remove dust. Address spills immediately by blotting with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Chrome Gliders: Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
