Product Information

Full details

The Korda Dark Matter Leader with Heli-Safe system is designed for dedicated carp anglers who utilize helicopter-style presentations, including chod rigs and conventional hook links. This leader’s primary benefit is its ability to remain securely pinned to the lake bed due to impregnated tungsten collars, while also providing a crucial safety mechanism that allows the hook link to release if the main line breaks. While it offers exceptional abrasion resistance and reliability, users should note that the leader must be correctly set up to ensure the Heli-Safe release system functions as intended.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your leader, pass the fused loop through your mainline leader knot or use a simple loop-to-loop connection. Ensure your rig is properly balanced for the Heli-Safe system. Regarding compatibility, this leader is purpose-built for helicopter setups and is not intended for bottom-bait bolt rig configurations. To care for your leader, inspect it after every session for signs of wear, particularly after fishing in snaggy or rocky terrain. Rinse the leader with fresh water if used in saltwater or silty environments and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the material.
