Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Assembling your Portland Dining Set is designed to be a straightforward process. The set comes with clear, easy-to-follow instructions and all necessary hardware. We recommend having a second person assist with table assembly for stability. All you'll typically need are a few basic household tools like a screwdriver. Lay out all components and hardware before you begin, and follow the numbered steps carefully to ensure a secure and stable build.
Compatibility
This dining set's elegant design, featuring a wooden beige oak table and cream-colored chairs, makes it highly compatible with a wide range of interior styles. It blends seamlessly with modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, and even some rustic decors. The compact 4-seater design is ideal for small to medium-sized dining rooms, open-plan living spaces, or even larger kitchen areas. Ensure you measure your space against the dimensions (Table: H75 x L120 x W70cm; Chairs: H87 x L59 x W44cm; Seat Height: 45cm) to confirm a perfect fit.
Care & Maintenance
- Tabletop: For daily cleaning, simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher spills, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner diluted in water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, or excessive moisture, which can damage the melamine finish.
- Chair Seats (Leather): Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For spills or marks, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution and wipe dry immediately. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading or cracking.
- Chair & Table Legs (Wood): Dust regularly with a soft cloth. For deeper cleaning, a wood-safe furniture polish can be used sparingly. Protect from excessive moisture.
- General: Use placemats and coasters to protect the tabletop from scratches and heat damage. Avoid dragging the chairs or table to prevent damage to floors and legs. Periodically check and tighten all screws and bolts to maintain structural integrity.
