Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Determine the desired location for the sash jammer. For windows and doors, this is typically along the bottom track where the sashes meet.
- Use the provided button spacers and packers to achieve a snug fit when the window or door is closed.
- Mark the screw holes through the jammer's mounting points.
- Drill pilot holes if necessary, especially for harder materials.
- Secure the jammer in place using the provided uPVC screws.
Compatibility:
These sash jammers are designed for use on standard sash windows and doors. They are compatible with most uPVC, wooden, and metal frames where a sliding mechanism can be jammed. Ensure there is sufficient clearance for the jammer to engage when the window or door is closed.
Care:
Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish. Periodically check that the jammer remains securely fastened and operates smoothly.
