One end of the BT wire should be attached to your current Master Socket (linebox) or another extension socket using the supplied IDC tool. The cable should then be clipped into place and run to the location where you would like your new BT extension socket. The wire should then be cut to length and connected to the new BT extension socket. What's Included? 50m 4 Way (2 Pair) Wire Reel - Solid Core 0.2mm² - CW1308, 1 x Surface Mounted BT Extension Socket with Screws & Back Box, 100 x 5mm Cable Clips, 1 x IDC Tool. Further Information: On newer NTE5A master sockets, there is a removable front panel with 3 IDC terminals where a cable can be attached using an IDC tool. The extension socket should be wired to the master socket in the following format: terminal 2 to 2, 3 to 3 and 5 to 5. If you have an older master socket (that doesn't have a removable front panel), the wiring is still the same, however a BT 431A connector should be crimped onto the extension cable and this should be plugged into the front of your master socket. If you still need to use your master socket locally, you will need to purchase a BT splitter adapter.
