Full details

The NF-A15 is a premium quality quiet 140mm fan with a round frame that complies with Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard. The NF-A15's frame features 120mm mounting holes (105mm spacing) and has been enlarged to 150mm width in order to provide superior performance on today's high-end CPU coolers. Featuring sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A15 further improves the renowned quiet cooling performance of the award-winning NF-P14. Noctua's custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic speed control and reference class SSO2 bearings guarantee superb smoothness and excellent long-term stability. The modular cabling and the low-noise adapter make the NF-A15 a top solution for the highest demands. Round 140 mm frame with 150 mm width. The NF-A15 was developed especially for use on current high-end CPU coolers: The width of 150 mm corresponds to that of most current high-end heatsinks and through the height of 140mm the fan does not protrude upwards, thus ensuring best housing compatibility. The 120 mm mounting holes (105mm hole distance) make the NF-A15 also an ideal upgrade for housing or CPU fans in 120 mm format. Flow Acceleration Channels: The impeller of the NF-A15 is equipped with so-called flow acceleration channels on the suction side. By accelerating the airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side eddy solutions are reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and a lower turbulence-related noise emission. AAO frame system: Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frames have integrated vibration buffers, a stepped inlet design and an internal surface microstructure (Inner Surface Microstructures) that enable even better performance/noise efficiency. Quilted inlet design: The stepped inlet area of the Stepped Inlet Design creates more turbulence in the supply. This facilitates the transition from laminar flow to turbulent flow, which is better attached to the frame (flow attachment) and thus increases the suction capacity of the fan, especially with a limited suction area. Inner Surface Microstructures: The inner surface microstructure (Inner Surface Microstructures) creates a boundary layer through which the tips of the fan blades move. This reduces the current separation from the suction side of the blade tips, resulting in a significant reduction of the rotating tone and an increase in the pressure and air flow efficiency. Integrated anti-vibration pads: The anti-vibration pads made of extra-soft silicone reduce the transmission of minimal vibrations and are also compatible with all commercially available mounting systems and fan clamps used in CPU coolers. SSO2 bearings: The NF-A15 is equipped with the further optimized second generation of Noctua's proven SSO storage system. With SSO2 the rear magnet sits closer to the fan axis and thus causes an even better stabilization, which leads to a further improved precision and durability. Metal bearing shell: In order to guarantee the greatest possible degree of manufacturing precision, minimum tolerances and excellent long-term stability, the NF-A15 uses a CNC machined bearing shell made of brass. PWM IC WITH SCD: The NF-A15 PWM supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and uses Noctua's new, specially designed NE-FD1 chip for this purpose. This new PWM IC integrates Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which minimizes PWM switching noise and makes the fan quieter at low speeds. Stops at 0% PWM: The fan can be brought to a complete standstill by being controlled by the mainboard or a fan control with a PWM duty cycle of 0%. This makes it ideal for semi-passive systems, which switch off the fans under low thermal load and thus run completely silently. Low-noise adapter: The NF-A15 PWM is delivered with a (L.N.A.), which reduces the maximum speed from 120.
