The filter has a diameter of 75.0 mm and a height of 94.0 mm.
Yes, it includes an integrated overflow (bypass) valve to ensure consistent oil flow.

Yes, the seal is integrated into the top of the filter canister, featuring a seal diameter of 61.7 mm.
It is recommended to replace the filter every time you perform an oil change, following your vehicle manufacturer's recommended mileage interval.
Verify the thread pitch is M20x1.5-6H and ensure the mounting stud is clean of debris or cross-threading.
Check that the old gasket was removed from the engine block and that the new filter is tightened to the recommended torque specification.
Do not install a damaged filter, as the internal valves may be compromised. Request a replacement unit immediately.
Installation of the OC 983 requires a standard oil filter wrench suited for a 75.0 mm diameter canister. Before installation, ensure the old gasket has been removed from the engine block, as a double-gasket scenario will cause a major oil leak. Lightly lubricate the new filter's rubber seal with fresh engine oil before threading it onto the mount by hand; tighten to the manufacturer's specified torque to avoid damage. To maintain performance, replace the filter during every standard oil change interval as defined by your vehicle's service manual. Always handle the used filter with care, as it will contain approximately 200-300ml of residual waste oil.
