FAQs
What size mattress does this bed fit?
This is a 5Ft King Size model and is compatible with standard UK King size mattresses.
Can I assemble this by myself?
It is recommended to have two people for assembly due to the weight of the components and the nature of the gas-lift mechanism.
How deep is the storage compartment?
The internal storage compartment offers a depth of approximately 27cm.
Does the bed come with a mattress?
No, the bed frame is sold separately from the mattress.
Is the gas-lift mechanism difficult to operate?
No, the gas-powered pistons are designed to do the heavy lifting for you, making it easy to access the storage area.
Troubleshooting
The ottoman base will not stay in the raised position
The ottoman requires the weight of a mattress to function correctly. Ensure your mattress is placed on the frame before testing the lift.
Squeaking sounds during use
Check that all bolts and fixings are securely tightened and verify that the slats are correctly seated in their holders.
Storage lid seems misaligned
Ensure the bed frame is placed on a completely level floor and that the outer frame is square.
Pros and Cons

- Easy-access gas-lift piston system

Setup, Compatibility & Care
The bed arrives flat-packed and requires two people for safe assembly. Follow the included instructions carefully to ensure the gas pistons are calibrated correctly. For compatibility, this 5Ft King Size frame is designed to fit standard UK King mattresses. To maintain your bed, periodically check that all bolts and screws remain tight, especially those connected to the hinge mechanism. The wooden frame can be cleaned using a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh chemical cleaners which may damage the grey or oak-tone finish. Always lift the storage area from the center of the footend to ensure even pressure on the mechanism.
