Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose particles, dust, or grease. Remove any loose paint or flaking material. For best results, lightly sand the surface.
- Mixing: Mix the filler according to the manufacturer's instructions to achieve a workable consistency. Avoid over-mixing.
- Application: Apply the filler using a filling knife, ensuring it fills the damaged area completely. For deep repairs, apply in layers, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.
- Drying Time: Allow the filler to dry completely. Drying time may vary depending on the depth of the fill and environmental conditions. Refer to the product instructions for specific drying times.
- Sanding: Once dry, sand the surface smooth using fine-grit sandpaper.
- Painting: Toupret Rock Solid Repair Filler can be overcoated with any standard water-based masonry paint or mineral paint. If using polyurethane or epoxy solvent-based paints, prime the filled area first with a water-based exterior paint.
