Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Assembly: Screw the brass connectors of the rods together to achieve the desired length. Attach the appropriate tool (plunger, scraper, or screw) to the end rod.
- Insertion: Carefully insert the rod into the drain, guiding it past bends and curves. Rotate the rod as needed to navigate obstructions.
- Operation: Use the attached tool to break up or retrieve the blockage. For stubborn clogs, apply gentle pressure and rotation.
- Disassembly: Once the clog is cleared, disassemble the rods and clean each part.
Compatibility
The Denny International Drain Rod Set is compatible with most domestic drain systems. However, avoid using it in systems with known structural weaknesses or delicate pipes.
Care
- After each use, rinse the rods and tools with warm, soapy water.
- Allow all components to dry completely before storing them in the bag.
- Inspect the rods and connectors periodically for any signs of damage.
- Store the set in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
