Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your handlebars are clean and free of old tape residue.
- Begin wrapping at the end of the handlebar, leaving a small amount of tape to fold over the bar end if not using separate bar end plugs.
- Stretch the tape gently as you wrap, overlapping each layer by approximately half the width of the tape. The non-adhesive backing allows for adjustments.
- Continue wrapping towards the stem, ensuring even tension and overlap.
- Use the included finishing tape or zip ties to secure the end of the wrap near the stem.
Compatibility:
This bar tape is designed to fit standard drop handlebars found on road bikes, cyclocross bikes, and gravel bikes. Its sufficient length accommodates various handlebar widths.
Care:
To clean the bar tape, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe away dirt and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the cork material. For deeper cleaning, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean damp cloth and allowing it to air dry completely.
