Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure you have a compatible Makita 40Vmax XGT Li-Ion battery and charger (sold separately).
- Insert the charged battery into the battery port until it clicks into place.
- Select the desired gear (1 or 2) using the gear change lever.
- Adjust the clutch to the appropriate torque setting or to drill mode.
- Select the drilling mode (drill, screw, or hammer drill).
Compatibility:
This tool is compatible with all Makita 40Vmax XGT Li-Ion batteries and chargers. It accepts standard drill bits and driver bits with appropriate shanks.
Care:
- Keep the tool clean and free from dust and debris, especially around the motor vents.
- Use a dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning the exterior; avoid solvents.
- Store the tool and battery in a dry, protected area when not in use.
- Regularly check for any signs of damage and have them repaired by qualified personnel.
