This Refina 10" 250mm Round Float is designed for professional plasterers and decorators seeking a tool for smooth, consistent texturing and finishing. Its key benefit is enabling fluid, sweeping movements for blending and softening edges, particularly on curved surfaces, without creating harsh lines. A potential caveat is that its rounded profile may require practice for achieving sharp, straight edges on flat surfaces. This tool features durable plastic blades, a soft-grip handle for comfort, and a lightweight construction, making it ideal for detailed work on decorative plaster, texture finishes, and Venetian plaster.

This float is ideal for decorative plaster, texture finishes, Venetian plaster, and silicone top coat renders. Its rounded edge is particularly useful for achieving smooth finishes on various plaster types.
While effective for working around corners, its rounded profile is designed for blending and softening. For sharp internal corners, a dedicated corner tool might provide a crisper finish.
The rounded profile allows for fluid, sweeping movements, which helps in blending textures and softening edges seamlessly, preventing harsh lines often associated with flat tools on curved surfaces.
Yes, the soft grip handle is designed for comfort and to reduce fatigue during extended use, allowing for better control.
After use, simply clean the blades with water to remove residue and allow to dry. The plastic material is wear-resistant and easy to maintain.
The blade gauge is 3mm, offering a good balance between flexibility for conforming to surfaces and rigidity for effective plaster application and smoothing.
No, the plastic blades are designed for non-marking application, ensuring a clean finish on your plasterwork.
Ensure consistent pressure and angle while moving the float. Clean the blades thoroughly if material buildup is suspected.
Wipe the blades frequently with a damp cloth during use. Ensure the plaster mix has the correct consistency.
Verify the material being applied is suitable for the float's 3mm gauge. For very stiff materials, a float with a thicker gauge might be necessary.
Ensure a proper grip that allows for control without excessive force. The soft grip is designed for ergonomic comfort.
Setup: This float requires no assembly. It is ready for immediate use upon purchase.
Compatibility: Suitable for use with a wide range of plastering compounds, renders, and decorative finishes, including but not limited to Venetian plaster, acrylic renders, and silicone-based top coats.
Care: After each use, clean the plastic blades thoroughly with water to remove any residual material. A damp cloth can be used to wipe down the handle. Ensure the float is completely dry before storing it to prevent any potential degradation of the materials.
