The HydroSure Chamfering Tool (20mm-63mm) is designed for professionals and DIY users working with MDPE or HDPE pipes for irrigation and water supply systems. Its primary benefit is creating a smooth, rounded pipe edge, preventing damage to the 'O'-ring in compression fittings and ensuring a watertight seal. A potential caveat is that it is specifically designed for the stated pipe diameter range and may not be suitable for other sizes.

This HydroSure chamfering tool is designed for MDPE and HDPE pipes with outer diameters ranging from 20mm to 63mm.
Chamfering creates a smooth edge that prevents the pipe from damaging the 'O'-ring inside compression fittings. This is essential for creating a watertight seal and preventing leaks, especially in underground installations.
This tool is specifically important for compression and push-fit fittings that utilize an 'O'-ring seal. It is not typically required for solvent-welded or threaded fittings.
Insert the end of the pipe into the tool and rotate the tool around the pipe end with consistent pressure until a smooth, beveled edge is achieved.
No, this tool is specifically designed for MDPE and HDPE pipes and is not suitable for copper, PVC, PEX, or other pipe materials.
Wipe the tool clean with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt and debris. Store it in a dry environment to maintain its condition.
The primary benefit is ensuring the longevity and reliability of watertight connections, preventing leaks in underground irrigation lines by protecting the crucial 'O'-ring seal.
Ensure the tool is rotated fully around the pipe end. Check if the pipe is securely seated within the tool and apply consistent pressure.
Verify that you are using the correct size pipe for the tool (20mm-63mm). Remove any debris from the pipe end or inside the tool.
Double-check that the pipe edge was properly chamfered and smooth. Ensure the fitting is correctly seated on the pipe and that the 'O'-ring is undamaged and properly positioned. Clean the pipe and fitting thoroughly before assembly.
Setup: The HydroSure Chamfering Tool requires no assembly. Simply insert the end of the prepared MDPE or HDPE pipe into the tool.
Compatibility: This tool is specifically designed for MDPE (Medium-Density Polyethylene) and HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipes with outer diameters ranging from 20mm to 63mm. It is not suitable for other pipe materials like PVC or PEX, nor for pipe sizes outside this range.
Care: After use, clean the tool to remove any dirt or debris. A damp cloth is usually sufficient. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion. Avoid dropping the tool, as this may damage its precision edges.
