Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Cut the interfacing to the desired shape and size for your fabric piece.
- Place the fabric piece right side down on your ironing board. Place the interfacing, adhesive side down, onto the fabric where reinforcement is needed.
- Set your iron to a medium-high heat setting (suitable for your main fabric), generally without steam.
- Press the iron firmly onto the interfacing for 8-12 seconds, moving it slightly. Ensure all areas are bonded.
- Allow the fabric to cool completely before handling.
Compatibility:
This interfacing is compatible with most natural and synthetic fabrics that can withstand ironing at medium-high temperatures. It is particularly effective with cottons, polyesters, and blends commonly used in dressmaking.
Care:
Finished garments with this interfacing can be machine washed at up to 40 degrees Celsius. It is also dryer-safe on a low setting and can be ironed as needed. For professional cleaning, it can be treated with perchloroethylene.
