Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation follows the standard 2.5-inch SATA drive protocol. Power down your system, disconnect the power source, and ensure you are grounded to avoid static discharge. Once the SSD is secured in your drive bay, connect the SATA data and power cables. After mounting, you may need to initialize the drive within your operating system's Disk Management utility to assign it a drive letter. To ensure longevity, keep the drive firmware updated using the Transcend SSD Scope software, ensure your operating system has TRIM enabled, and avoid filling the drive to absolute capacity to maintain effective write speeds.
