Vogue Paper Sewing Pattern 1616

This pattern is recommended for intermediate sewers due to the techniques involved in dressmaking and achieving a professional fit.

This pattern is for size E5, which includes U.S. women's sizes 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22.

The pattern will specify recommended fabric types, typically including various woven fabrics like cotton, linen, silk, or crepe. Always check the pattern envelope for exact recommendations.

Yes, this is a sewing pattern only. You will need to purchase your chosen fabric, thread, and any other required notions (like zippers or buttons) separately.

While the pattern includes multiple standard sizes, significant adjustments for petite or tall figures may require additional knowledge of pattern alteration techniques beyond the scope of the basic instructions.

Store the pattern flat in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent damage. Handle the pieces carefully to avoid rips or tears.

Ensure good lighting when working with the pattern. If markings are faint, consider tracing the required pieces onto tracing paper or a sturdier pattern material.

Ensure your fabric is pre-washed and pressed smoothly. Use pattern weights instead of pins to hold the pattern to the fabric, preventing distortion.

Double-check that you used the correct size lines for cutting and that your measurements align with the size chart. Consider making a muslin (test garment) first, especially if making significant fitting adjustments.
