Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup is essential for maximizing the ride quality of your Powerfly 5. Start by setting the sag on the RockShox air-spring fork according to your rider weight to ensure appropriate shock absorption. For the electrical system, ensure the battery contacts remain clean and dry; if you are not using the bike for an extended period, store the battery at approximately 50% charge to maintain cell health. The wheels are tubeless-ready, so consider converting them with sealant to reduce flat tires on sharp rocks. Routine maintenance should include cleaning the drivetrain after muddy rides, checking brake pad wear regularly, and ensuring the firmware on the Bosch controller is up to date via a local authorized Trek retailer.
