The Shinto saw rasp and file is a unique Japanese tool with a blade made of strips similar to a hacksaw blade, featuring teeth on both edges arranged in a lattice pattern, welded and pinned to form a rigid blade. It is effective for filing and shaping various types of wood, used by woodturners and wood carvers. The rasp offers an aggressive cut and can also be delicately controlled. It is double-sided, with a coarse face for rapid material removal and a fine face for a smooth finish. The design prevents clogging as waste material falls through the lattice. Fitted with a soft-grip, non-slip handle for comfortable control, this saw rasp cuts on the push stroke. Available in two sizes: SR10 (shorter) and SR20 (longer). It can be used with soft wood, hard wood, plywood, chipboard, MDF, iron, copper, aluminium, lead, plasterboard, soft stone, and Pastilina clay.
