The AKG K872 master reference closed-back headphones deliver unprecedented accuracy and comfort for studio production and live sound engineering. Featuring custom 53mm drivers with 1.5 Tesla magnet systems, they provide exceptional headroom, precise imaging, deep low frequencies, and extended dynamic range. The optimized closed-back design ensures excellent isolation, making them ideal for tracking, mixing, and mastering sessions. The open-mesh headband and 3D-shaped slow-retention foam earcups offer a personalized fit for remarkable comfort during long sessions. Crafted with meticulous attention to every design element, the K872 sets a new benchmark for headphone performance. The two-layer, copper-covered aluminum voice coil and special magnet design deliver high sensitivity, superior impulse response, and an extended frequency range of 5Hz-54kHz, making them versatile across various musical styles. Engineered for durability, critical parts are made of metal, including the precision cardan hinge and headband, with a superior seal provided by the trim ring around the ear cup.
