While it shares a classic basil flavour and is used similarly in cooking, 'Magic Mountain' is a specific cultivar bred for ornamental and fragrance qualities, often grouped with aromatic herbs.

Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. During hot summer days, this may be daily. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging.

It can be grown indoors as a houseplant, especially during winter. It requires a very bright location and reduced watering. However, it performs best outdoors during the summer.
