Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Pipercross PP1930 is designed for a straightforward installation. It acts as a direct replacement for your vehicle's stock air filter. Typically, this involves locating the airbox, unlatching or unscrewing the cover, removing the old filter, and inserting the new Pipercross filter. Ensure the filter is seated correctly before closing the airbox. No special tools are usually required.
Compatibility: This filter (PP1930) is designed to fit specific vehicle makes and models. Always verify compatibility with your vehicle's year, make, and model before purchasing. Consult your vehicle's manual or a Pipercross compatibility guide if unsure.
Care: To maintain optimal performance, the Pipercross filter should be cleaned periodically.
- Carefully remove the filter from the airbox.
- Use a mild cleaning agent specifically designed for performance air filters (like Pipercross's own cleaning kit) or a gentle degreaser and water.
- Gently rinse the filter from the inside out to push dirt away from the foam layers.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely. *Do not* use compressed air or heat to dry it, as this can damage the foam.
- Once dry, re-install the filter. Oiling is generally not required for Pipercross foam filters.
