Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Your HOMCOM Sofa Bed requires assembly. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the owner's manual. It is recommended to have two people for assembly to ensure stability and ease of construction.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the parts list in the manual.
- Assemble Frame: Follow the manual to connect the frame components securely.
- Attach Upholstery/Cushions: Secure the cushions and upholstery to the frame as instructed.
- Test Mechanism: Once fully assembled, carefully test the conversion mechanism (sofa to recliner to bed) to ensure all parts move smoothly and lock securely.
Ensure all bolts and screws are tightened appropriately, but do not overtighten, which could strip threads. Regularly check fasteners for tightness, especially after the first few weeks of use.
Compatibility
This sofa bed's neutral grey color and classic tufted design allow it to blend seamlessly with a wide range of interior décor styles, from modern minimalist to more traditional settings. Its compact sofa dimensions make it suitable for smaller apartments, living rooms, studios, or guest rooms where space is at a premium.
Product Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your sofa bed:
- Cleaning Upholstery: The linen-look upholstery should be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild fabric cleaner. Test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first to ensure no discoloration. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Regular Maintenance: Vacuum the upholstery regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
- Weight Limit: Adhere strictly to the maximum load capacity of 250kg. Exceeding this limit can damage the frame and mechanism and void your warranty.
- Protect from Sun: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fabric to fade over time. Position your sofa bed away from direct windows or use curtains/blinds.
- Conversion Mechanism: Keep the integrated wheels and pull-straps free of obstructions. If the mechanism feels stiff, check for any debris. Do not lubricate without consulting the manufacturer's guidelines, as some lubricants can attract dust.
- Padding Care: To maintain the shape and longevity of the high-density sponge cushions, rotate and fluff them periodically if possible.
