Setup, Compatibility & Care

Initial Setup

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove the watch from its original gift box. Inspect for any transit damage.
2. Initial Winding (if stopped): If the watch has stopped, gently turn the crown clockwise about 20-30 times. This provides an initial power reserve to start the movement.
3. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the furthest position. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure you distinguish between AM and PM when setting the date.
4. Setting the Date: Push the crown in one step from the outermost position. Turn the crown to set the correct date. Avoid adjusting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM as this can damage the movement during the date change mechanism cycle. Set the date to the previous day, then advance the time past midnight to automatically roll to the correct date. This ensures the date changes at noon, not midnight.
5. Securing the Crown: Push the crown fully back into the case to ensure water resistance and to start the watch.

Compatibility

This watch is designed for standard wrist wear. The 21 mm wide stainless steel bracelet is adjustable to fit most wrist sizes up to 21 cm in circumference. Professional adjustment by removing links may be required for optimal fit.

Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and oils. For the stainless steel components, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Water Resistance: The 5 ATM (50 meters/165 feet) rating means the watch is resistant to splashes, rain, and brief immersion. Do not operate the crown or pushers underwater. Avoid wearing it while showering, swimming, diving, or engaging in water sports, as steam, hot water, or direct water pressure can compromise the seals.
• Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, MRI machines, strong magnets), as these can affect the accuracy of the automatic movement.
• Impacts: While durable, avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to severe impacts, which can damage the internal mechanism or crystal.
• Servicing: Automatic watches benefit from periodic professional servicing (typically every 3-5 years) to ensure lubrication, seal integrity, and overall accuracy. Refer to the warranty information for authorized service centers.
• Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in its original box or a watch box to protect it from dust and scratches. If you don't wear it for several days, it will stop and need to be reset when you wear it again; a watch winder can keep it running if preferred.
