Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize protection, always lock your vehicle to a stationary object such as a concrete anchor or a professional-grade bike rack. Ensure the chain is pulled tight to prevent it from resting on the ground, which makes it harder for thieves to gain leverage for bolt cutters.
For maintenance, keep the lock cylinder clean by regularly using the sliding dust cover. If the lock feels stiff, apply a light silicone or Teflon-based lubricant to the keyway. Avoid using heavy grease, which can attract dirt and grime. Regularly inspect the nylon cover for tears to ensure your frame remains protected from direct steel-to-paint contact.
